Dear Peter:

The target date for publication of the Code for recent Congresses has
been 12 months after the Congress; this was just met by the St Louis
Code, but the Vienna Code was a month or so late.

It is expected that the final text of the Melbourne Code, including new
examples, will be approved by the entire Editorial Committee in the next
couple of weeks. The date of publication thereafter is not in the hands
of the Editorial Committee, but as we are publishing the text of the
Code separately from the Appendices, I would expect it to be fairly soon
thereafter.

It is expected that the electronic version will be available around the
same time as the printed version. Of course, until every detail of the
Code is finalised it could be misleading to make drafts available.

I am sorry that I cannot be more precise.

Best wishes,

Dear John,
we all understand that the publication of a new code takes some time.
But as there was quite some media attention to new provisions
(electronic publication, diagnoses in English, ...) coming into effect
on January first 2012, or nearly five month ago, people want to know,
were they can read the Melbourne code.
Can anybody give an answer?
Is there a website, which could show what is already done, what will
come soon (like Flora Iberica that has proofs of forthcoming treatments
on-line)?

Peter
